Best AI visibility tools in 2026 — how we shortlist

There are 200+ products claiming to track or improve how brands show up in AI answers. Most directories scrape marketing pages. We don't.

Every listing we mark verified was checked against the vendor's own site: pricing as published, capabilities as stated (or confirmed absent), funding only with a source URL. Unknown stays unknown — we never invent a score.

For a first shortlist in AI Visibility Monitoring, start with tools that publish clear prompt tracking across multiple engines. In our curated Index at launch that includes Profound, Peec AI, Otterly.ai, Scrunch, AthenaHQ, RankScale and the major SEO suites (Semrush, Ahrefs Brand Radar) that added AI modules.

Price is not quality. Otterly can start in the low tens of dollars a month; enterprise AEO platforms quote custom. Use the site search (“under $50 with a free trial”, “citation tracking for an agency”) and the compare pages — both sides have to be deep-researched before a compare URL even exists.

What we will not publish: G2/Capterra stars we can't fetch, or AI-written verdicts about products nobody here has used. The directory is a fact layer. The memo (newsletter) is where opinion belongs.
